Kai
YouTuber (@kaiexplainsYT, https://www.youtube.com/@kaiexplainsYT) whose 2026-10-21 video “Your Local AI Is Not as Private as You Think” is the most complete short-form account of the local-ai-threat-layers problem. The video is a self-correction, which is what makes it citable: he ran local models for a year arguing the privacy case and found the case incomplete, opening with an apology to anyone he had pressed it on in comment sections (0:42).
The reporting is traceable. He names researchers and figures throughout, and the ones this vault checked against primaries (ProjectDiscovery, Pillar Security, SentinelOne and Censys, CERT/CC, Anthropic with the UK AISI) match the videos claims at the level that matters, with one numeric departure filed as a correction on the source page. His register is the honest end of the explainers: he states the base rates (24 dangerous templates in 130,592 scanned, all proof of concept, no documented in-the-wild victim), and he declines the cloud-pitch inference.
